The Beginning (Welcome!)

I guess everything must start somewhere. 

And this is me, Charity, starting a blog/hub and creative dumping ground for my writing, candid thoughts, opinions, travels, and creative milestones. 

I have not attempted to create this kind of semi-serious blog before, aside from my more casual, but aesthetically pleasing and superficially interesting, Instagram posts. Which, frankly, I've become less satisfied with, as my Instagram has highlighted really only exaggeratedly posed images and brief videos of some of the best moments of my recent life. 

Here, I am hoping to open myself up to a much more unfiltered and vulnerable form of posting all about things related to my inner life, my mind, my extraordinary and mundane experiences, and most importantly my writing. I hope to capture a side of myself that usually only I truly see and perhaps provide a mirror for those who may resonate with what I have to say. If I have truly anything to say at all.

Inspiration for this blog comes from the many authors--whose works I have had the great pleasure of reading while I intern this fall with Blackbird's creative nonfiction team--and their fantastic personal and creative websites. In which, authors have archived their literary works and have detailed their current travels and adventures. 

I look forward to cultivating a wonderful community of writers, readers, travelers, artists, and creatives with you, as we engage in conversation surrounding matters of the mind, soul, and body. 

To all of those who are joining me now, warmest welcome! To my friends, family, and loved ones, thank you for your continued support in all of my ambitions.
